July 24th

Well I can honestly say that I had never heard of Pioneer Day until I moved to Utah. I guess it being a Utah holiday was the reason for this. Anyway, I LOVE fireworks so I went down to Spanish Fork and watch some great fireworks with my best friend Allysa and her husband. We had a great time. Here are some pics of the night:

Allysa and I waiting patiently for the show to begin! :o)

These are some pics of the actual fireworks...

So as of today I am moving in 1 month. I am super excited. I mean I have loved living in Alta but in my new place I will have a TON more room and a washer and dryer in my apartment...YEAY...don't worry I will for sure post pics of my new place...AND school starts in a month...I'm excited to get back into the swing of things! I will also being home for a little visit for labor day weekend...so basically the last week in August will be the busiest of my life...haha...to this point anyways...I'm looking forward to all the excitement though!! :o)

My Birthday...

So the day before my birthday was the day between Meredith Ashton (a good friend) and my birthday so we made each other a cake and boy was it delicious. I made her this Chocolate Carmel cake and she made me a Better Then Sex cake...it was fun!!

My birthday was on Tuesday the 8th. I'm old now...haha... I did have a great birthday though!! I went to work and then got off around 2. Then went swimming and worked on my tan for a little bit. Then I met up with a bunch of my friends at Red Robin for dinner. I LOVE RED ROBIN. The thing is that I have only ever order the same thing there even though it's my favorite...I shocked the entire table and ordered a different burger...haha...and to my own surprise it was pretty good!!

Then after dinner we went back to my apartment and had a party with a bunch of friends. It was a lot of fun!

Elise (my old roommate just found out that she is having a boy...yeay for her!...I thought that she might be having twins but no such luck...haha...

Matt Chambers made an appearance at my party too...it has been a long time since I saw him so I was happy that he was able to come for a little bit!!

And Sarah and Melanie (old roommates) and of course Matt being goofy in the back.

And I got 21 message on facebook of people wishing me a happy birthday. I feel so loved!!! It was a great birthday and I had so much fun with all my friends!! Thanks so much for all you do!!!

The 4th of July

Ok, so my 4th was tons of fun!! My old roommate Sarah called me very early to drag my lazy butt out of bed to go to the parade. So we rode our bikes down to Center street and watched the parade for about 2 hours. You know it just amazes me that some people will spend the night on Center Street just to get a good place to watch the parade. I've been in parades and they are not THAT interesting. But to each their own!

Then after the parade we made our usual trip to burger supreme (we did this same thing last year in case you were wondering). Burger supreme was ABSOLUTELY wonderful!! Then we went swimming and caught some rays. Then after that we went the the pre-show party in the Stadium parking lot and went crazy getting free stuff!! And we met some celebrities...haha...well sort of...These guys are a couple of BYU football players...nice huh...haha...well they said that they would only take a picture with us if we knew some kids that would come to their football camp...of course we said that we did...not entirely ture...but oh well...haha...

And yes Sarah had to get her picture taking with Elvis...when the king is around it's a must...

And of course we can't forget Smokey the Bear...haha...I think i'm more excited about my free hotdog that I got...haha...

Then the fireworks. Allysa and Richard and Natalie and Phil (both were my roommates before recently getting married) came down to watch the fireworks from the grass by Alta.

In all it was a really good 4th of July. I love this holiday because it's such a wonderful thing to celebrate independence. Freedom is something that I think that a lot of us take for granted. It's really hard not to I will admit but I think that it is important that we, as a country are truly thankful for the freedom that so many gave their lives for!

YEAY for UVU...

Well it's official...I now attend a University. In case you were all dying to know, on Tuesday UVSC (Utah Valley State College) officially became Utah Valley University. It's pretty exciting...to me anyway. On Monday night was the big celebration. It was alright. Josh Gracin, Colin Raye, and Joe Nichols were all there to preform. Colin Raye was my favorite! He did such a good job!! The other 2 well I could do without them. And the fireworks were REALLY cool too!! I just love fireworks...I look forward to this time of year every year cuz I get to see so many fireworks!

Hope everyone has a GREAT 4th of July celebration!! :o)
